I checked out a new area on Saturday, the Headwaters Forest Reserve, south of Eureka in Humboldt County, CA.
The first mile of the hike is paved, and seems to be very popular and crowded (for Humboldt 😉)
It’s mostly new growth redwoods, this area was reclaimed from logging and turned into a reserve. So not many really big, old growth redwoods, but still some beautiful scenes 😁

I think the highlight for me was tons and tons of pretty little yellow flowers along the path 🌼 They brought me much joy 🥰

And a few of these purple flowers 😄
