A Smokey Sunset at Samoa Beach

Samoa Beach, Humboldt County, CA 9-22-23

There was still some lingering smoke in the air for tonights sunset that created a rather spooky show 😲

It started off with just a little more color than usual:

But as the sun dropped lower in the sky, a blood-red color emerged 😳

And then the sun dropped behind the marine layer along the horizon, creating some interesting shots:

The first-quarter moon also made an appearance πŸŒ™

As the sun disappeared, some subtle coloring emerged:
